Seth decided it was time to take Greyson on his first fishing trip. He had a blast and lasted a lot longer out there than we thought he would! I think he just enjoyed playing with all his new gear.

I honestly cannot remember the last time we went to KY I think it was almost 2 years ago. We finally made the trip a few weeks ago and as always it seems like we are never there long enough! It has been a LONG time since I have updated....

Seth has been saying to me over and over again about updating this blog ( you know babe you have the password and can update it also ;) ). So I decided to update it. There will be a series of posts as there has been so much going on. They all will be done over the coming week ;)

Quick updates:
Greyson is going to be 3 soon! I can not believe he is almost 3 already.
We have moved to St. Joseph (an hour north of KC)
Greyson is going to a new PDO program and we both love it.
I am about 7 months away from getting my Bachelors degree. Sometimes homework is all it seems like I do!
I have started volunteering at a few different places in the St. Joe area.
We have a new house (new address so if anyone needs it email one of us)
We have recently taken a trip to KY, Salina, and the St. Louis arch.
We are planning to take another mini trip soon.

I just LOVE that picture!! I amaze myself with my pictures sometimes.You just get lucky I guess. We decided to go to the Pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins! It was really fun and Greyson liked it until he picked up about 2 pumpkins and get his hands hurt because they have prickly things on the stem. We left with about 30 dollars worth of pumpkins.. I think it was about 20plus pumpkins. But we did have to buy 10 small ones for Greyson's Parents day out class. While we were walking around Seth and Greyson saw a snake.. Fun

A long needed update for everyone...

I wouldn't count on this blog being updated more than once every few weeks for the next who know how long. I started college classes on October 5th and lets just say I am busy. I will try my best to update whenever I can.

Greyson is still growing like a weed. I had to take him to the doctor last week because he had an upset tummy and he weighs 29pounds! They didnt measure his height so not sure on that but I cant believe he has gained a few pounds.. I knew my arm was crying for some reason.

This last week (Friday) we had to go to the car dealership to get the heater on my car fixed. I went in one day only to be told I would have to come back another. So we went back Friday and what I was told should be a 30minute deal wound up being 2 hours, then 3 hours before we got out of there. About 30minutes before we left I went to call Seth to ask him to bring Greyson some lunch. About this time Greyson decided to walk in front of the door and this guy decided to walk in the same door without looking (glass door). I saw what was happening and couldn't get there fast enough... Next thing you know Greyson is screaming with blood shooting out of his mouth.

We run to the bathroom and I start wiping and trying to look praying he didnt knock a tooth out or something.. It was his tongue. He literally bit a small hole through his tongue and gave himself a huge gash. I have never seen a tongue bleed so much. Meanwhile I have on a white sweater coat.. can you imagine what happened to it? Yep covered in blood. Put a call into the pedi and he said nothing they can do just watch it and make sure it heals okay. Fast forward a few days and its almost healed! This is the best I can do as for photos..Look at the bottom left hand piece of his tongue as your looking at the photo.
In other news! Its fall. Well if you can consider it that. Its already in the 40's here.. I thought fall was suppose to be in the 60's or so. In any case this is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler temps, Halloween, chili, and all the other things that go along with it. We decided to make some cookies on Friday evening. After we ate a few we let Greyson do whatever he wanted.. look below..

Long time no post. I have been meaning to post an update for a few weeks now.. So here it is..

Greyson is getting bigger everyday. He is talking up a storm now. We stalk the fire station a few times each day, watch Monster Jam at least 3x per day and were always playing with monster trucks or firetrucks. Yep total boy :) I took him up to the Stride Rite outlet for new shoes and care to guess what they have on them.... Firetrucks.. I hate them. Their white with light up firetrucks on the side.. HATE them. 2 strikes againest them and there not shoes I would normally buy but...

HE LOVES THEM.. He saw them wanted to put them on right then and there and wore them around the store for an hour.. when I wanted him to try on shoes that I might get him I had to promise him he could put the fire truck shoes back on in order to get him to take them off. After I found a pair of shoes I wanted and said Greyson do you like these? Want to wear these?

No fire truck.. and so we left with ugly white blinkly fire truck shoes. Mama got some boots that she liked for fall/winter though :) And here are the ugly shoes in the glory. Oh and by the way he wants to wear them anytime we leave the house.

His daddy took him to the car races and it happened to be a night where they had monster trucks showing.. hooked. I will have to take a picture of all his monster trucks in once place because im sure were pushing 20 or so.. maybe more.. and yes we bought them when we could have said no.... :)

We took a trip down to Hutchinson a few weekends ago and he got to see his Nona and Pa and meet some new people. He had a great time until we left him to go to Seth's high school reunion (20 years yes I married an old fart) and he was to be put to bed by his Nona and Pa. At 10pm we returned to change clothes and head out for drinks with Terry and Heather. As we walked in the door this is what we heard. ....

So we didnt go out for drinks. Greyson is suppose to go to bed at 8 pm. This was 10 and he didnt go to sleep that night until after 11 and each night there after it was tough going to sleep. He did seem to enjoy playing and hanging out with them more this time around.

This weekend is my birthday and our 4 year wedding anniversary also (8 years together this month too). Saturday night (birthday) were going to dinner with some friends and then Sunday were going out all day by ourselves and I have yet to plan what were going to do.. maybe we will just come home and sleep.. im kidding :) Well it would be nice to sleep and wake up when you wanted and not when someone else wanted you to get up.. man the days of that are LONG gone because even when I get to "sleep in" I have to wake up when Seth thinks I need to be up.... go figure

In any case here is what you really came here to see..

Greyson had a good 4th of July! He liked the fireworks but really enjoyed smoke bombs and snaps. At the firework stand his daddy said he would like these and I didnt... Well guess who was right??? For some reason we didnt get any pictures of him actually watching them... Not sure why.

His Nona and Pa came up to visit him along with Pat. They brought Greyson a tricycle that was Seth's. He loves it. Wants to ride it every time we go into the garage for anything.

Omaha zoo and childrens museum trip

For Seth's birthday and mothers day we decided to make the 3.5 hour drive up to Omaha to visit the zoo and their childrens museum.
Its almost impossible to get good pictures of him right now. He seriously doesnt sit still for more than a nano second. He is talking up a storm and his latest cute word is seriously... he loves to repeat Seth and a day or so ago seth said seriously and Greyson said it.. its stinking cute!

First day we went to the childrens museum. Greyson enjoyed running around and playing with everything and chasing the balls trying to put them into where ever he could. It was pretty cute as they had this little grocery store there where kids could "shop". Greyson enjoyed pushing the little cart around.

So I have been on a buying spree picking up a few things that I have found at garage sales, thrift stores and antique shops. My house is no where close to where I want it but im building it slowly Its closer now than it was before for sure!

Check out this mirror!!! Its hard to take a picture of a mirror so its the best I got! Garage sale find 3 bucks!

I am in love with this coffee table that I scored from a garage sale this past weekend.
and another new love! A painted buffet. Seriously love it. No more to say.
I plan on trying to make one of the drawers fold down so we can stow the tv equipment in there and be able to hide it. for now its like this.

Greyson and I made some homemade banana blueberry mini muffins. He actually did really good helping me stir and put them in the pan to be baked. Of course it got all over the muffin pan but hey he did it!!

First Nutella experience. Greyson is not allowed to take peanut butter to his PDO program. So i was thinking of alternative stuff to make sandwiches with. Nutella is so yummy and I thought id get some and see if Greyson liked it... well see below :)

We decided it was time I got a new car. So we decided on a 2008 Suzuki XL-7 (well I did). Let me just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.. Did I say I love it?

First day of Parents day out (we call it school)

Well today was Greyson's first day of PDO (parents day out) program. I decided a bit ago that I was going to enroll him in something like this to give him a chance to get away from mommy and me the chance to have a few hours a week to myself. So from here on he is going on Tuesday from 9:15-1:15.

Today was his first day and they said he did well, cried on and off a few times but no major meltdowns. Score one for the mommy as I thought he would have a fit the whole 4 hours and stayed in town close by just in case I had to go over and get him. Instead he surprised me and did well considering no one other than Seth and once my friend Jen has kept him. So I was proud of him. We got him a backpack and new lunch bag, and his Nona sent him up a Curious George lunchbox that will be in rotation also. Today he choose the cars one because he thinks the George one is his to put all his toys in :)

So anywho.. a few pictures right before we walked out the door.. as you can see he was more than ready to get out the door... come on already mom.. oh and guess who decided to sleep in today.. yep Greyson.. Most mornings he is up by 8am but normally 7:30 today he got up at 8:25.

And this is what Greyson had for lunch. Well part of it. He is missing his milk, blueberries (in another container and water. From right to left:
1/2 piece of cornbread muffin, 3 ritz crackers, 2 salami rolls, 2 ham rolls,cubed chedder, raisens with chocolate chip bears and a 1/2 of a strawberry cereal bar.

Tonight I decided to give Greyson his first ever fudgesickle. I know im a bad mom not letting him have a fudgesickle, but hey at least he got one before he turned two! There are a lot of food items he has never had I must say. For anyone who is wondering about the plastic lid.... it keeps the ice cream that is slowly melting cause you know kids cant eat it fast enough from making a mess. It actually works WAY better if you take an old plastic butter lid or something and take some scissors and make a whole for the stick to go through. We still had a little leaking but not as much!

Something he learned from his daddy! Drinking the milk out of his bowl after he eats his cereal. Problem is he eats all the cereal, drinks all the milk then says more... so you then have to repeat this process oh about 3-4 times.

We decided last minute yesterday to call Seth's parent and ask them to meet us in Emporia for the day. They agreed so we drove the almost 2 hours there and met them. We decided to go to the park and let Greyson run around.

And mommy got a hair cut!! I needed a trim so I went for that. Instead after talking to the girl a few mintues I said I would like something different. Well she gave it to me thats for sure. Seeing the old pictures of me from last week it kinda makes me sad :( I miss my longer curly hair... but its only hair and its still curly just not long! And oh the maintence! I have to blow dry and then flat iron my hair so I can tell you unless I get it down to less than 10minutes it will only be staying like this till it grows out and looks good curly!

Holy hell. My sister sent me a link to my sister in laws my space photo album. In that album there are pictures of me from that last time I was home. Lets just say I wont be posting those pictures on here.. but instead ill post these as im proud of how much weight i have lost and need some motivation and taking pictures of myself is just that. Weight loss to date is 35lbs.

I Love that picture!! Look at that smile! I wonder how I let him get away with something now I know. Oh and notice the new teeth, they are still not even but if you look further down in the post you will see how they did look. Its an improvement! He cant eat raw apples carrots etc as per the dentist. So were careful with what hard type of foods he eats now.

We were trying to get a few Easter cards made so of course that is an opportunity to take pictures! So here are a few pictures of us making a few Easter cards. Greyson was being smiley for the camera! I would look at him and say look at mommy and he was look at me and wink at me :)

Then he thinks its cute to eat something directly off the table using his mouth kinda like a dog ;)

Almost 21 months old and now his latest word and asking is for...... Juice! A friend of ours come over with her little girl and she drinks juice. I think Greyson has had juice about 8-10x so far. Now he asks for it daily. Of course he doesnt get it daily but i have been giving in about every other day! I found an organic juice at Sams that has 40calories and 10g sugar so im okay with it every once in a blue moon :) The normal juice has like 150 calories and about 20-30 grams of sugar in one box.

Yep I said it! I admit that we have running around so much and doing this and that, that I
1. Have not posted any new blog entries and
2. Have not taken many pictures of my son

If you know me thats so not like me. I normally snap at minimum 200 pictures a month! Ive been a slacker. So im making myself take one picture a week from this point on. I also have to call and get him in to do pictures oh sometime in the next 2 weeks as we have not had his done since our family Christmas pictures.

We have moved!!

We finally got in our house on the 17th. It doesnt seem like we have been here almost 2 weeks. There is still tons that needs to be done and the garage is full of things we need to sort through. But most of the things we need are unpacked and in the house.

I think I speak for everyone when I say this. We LOVE LOVE LOVE having a house. Greyson loves to run around the whole house and loves to go outside in the back yard. We have had a few warm days and have went outside and enjoyed them. And speaking of that

On Wednesday we went to the park because it was in the 60's that day. Well Greyson went down a slide belly first and must have gone to fast because at the bottom he went off and come back and hit his mouth on the slide. The result, 2 chipped front teeth!!!!!!!!!! We took him to the dentist yesterday and the want to put crowns on his teeth. We haven't yet decided what were going to do, and will probably get a second opinion as I was hoping they could just build the teeth back up with bonding. Im not sure why this particular dentist wants to do crowns. In any case the poor guy is dealing with it fine, and thankfully it didnt break down to where the nerve in either tooth is exposed or close to it. Its simply just chips, a large one on the right tooth and a smaller one on the left tooth. I will post pictures of his broken teeth probably tomorrow.

On another note, if anyone cares...lol I have lost 33lbs!!! I cant believe that in such a short amount of time I have lost this much. I was expecting to loose it slower. But hey ill take what I can get! So just to remind everyone what I looked like before: and I cant BELIEVE im actually posting this. This is at my highest weight ever

and then the after! Well the part of the way anyway. I still want to loose at least another 15lbs maybe 20. Funny cause until I was digging these pictures out a month ago for a friend I didnt see my weight loss, but now that I see those pictures together I can tell a HUGE difference. I have went from a size16 and can currently wear a size 8. SO im happy! Its hard taking pictures of your own body let me tell you so this is all i got..lol

Today was a lovely day here in KC. The weather was so pretty that we went outside and let Greyson run around. I think he had a blast. Here are some pics from that.

I cant begin to tell you how excited we are. The time has come for us to tell the old RV good bye and move into a house. We found the perfect house in Lees summit Mo. Its a nice house with 2 bedrooms, garage, basement, large storage pantry, large fenced back yard and the kicker... a DOGGIE DOOR!!!

So the next few weeks well probably a month will be crazy and I probably wont be posting much if at all. I have already started packing trying to get as much done as I can. But alas you cant pack things you will be using. Ill update with pictures of our new house once we are in a settled.

And for those of you who might care about my weight loss here is a pic that seth snapped of my big butt today :) As of today I am down 28lbs since October 15th 2008. So about 4.5 months. I am currently in a size 10 but need to go down to an 8 as they are getting loose! I have tried an 8 and they fit me just fine :) If only my top half would CATCH UP ALREADY!! I have lost 8 inches around my waist so I shouldnt complain. But a total apple shape I am! My goal was 45lbs by end of August 09 so with that in mind I have 17lbs to go. But I am thinking I would like to loose another 25-30 but im sticking with 45 as my goal for now.

Well once again we have been busy and I have not updated this blog as much as I have wanted. Plus its hard to get good pictures of Greyson because he runs from the camera. He is getting so big and starting to talk more and repeat what you say. Some new words are night night, nona (seth's mom), Pa (seths dad) on occasion and he is loving to say bathe. His attitude is starting to show big time and he has been spending a lot of time on this

We are trying to find a class for me and Greyson to take together to get out of the house. Last week we took a gymboree art class. He liked it and so did I, and next week were taking music there which I have a feeling he is going to like more. We shall see.

Greyson decided to help Seth put together a toy box we got for the ever growing mound of toys. So here are some pictures from that.

And of couse the car needs worked on :)

Well when it looks this cute on a lot. You can have your very own for the low price of 28 bucks...:) yep you read that right.. Is that not the most outrageous price for a stupid hat you have ever heard of. Seth just insisted (i kinda did to) that G have it. Granted he will be wearing it for at least the next 4-5 years cause its big on him. But its stinking cute!!!

I dont know what he was doing in that last pic. He was crying though because he wanted to go bye bye..lol

On another note...
Im not sure if many of you who read this blog are aware that for the last 2 months I have been working out at the gym 4-5x per week and counting calories in an effort to loose about 45lbs. Well my hard work is paying off :) Here are some mini victory pictures of me in a size 12 jean. I started in a size 16 ( i cant beleive I wrote that there) because I am an apple shape. They didnt fit my bottom half but had to be that size to button. I have lost a total of 15lbs to date. So even though its kinda weird to put these on here, I am because im so happy to be seeing progress ..lol

Normally our tree goes up the weekend after thanksgiving. This year well we are running a little late because Seth got sick last weekend after our visit to Hutch. He still has whatever it is but its going away. Of course he passed it to Greyson and then me.

Greyson is starting to talk up a storm! He has learned to say a lot of new words in the last week alone. 2 days ago he started saying beep-beep because we were in the store and I was playing around with him saying it. Tonight after I got the tree up, i turned off the lights and said look at the Christmas tree and he said Christmas tree and pointed to it.. cute is all I have to say. Oh and I have been trying for at least a month now to get him to say more please when he would like more food or milk and 2 days ago he finally did it! He doesn't say please yet but he will say more. Were still working on please.

Oh and we have finally got him to drink from a hard spout cup!! WOOHOOO

Tell me how 4 gifts what I said I was getting for Greyson ahem turned into about 15 or so? I didnt take count but you can see in the pictures above its more than 4. In my defense most of them are books and I wrapped each one so he can open more. I have a feeling he is going to like to unwrap this year. And that 15 or so doesn't include his stocking and ahem 2 good size gift bags full of loot :)

Whew its been a LONG time......

We have just been super busy. Greyson and I have been doing lots of playdates and seems like we are never home. He is getting so big and starting to talk up a storm! I am amazed at all the words he can say now. He is just a little person now. Boy does he have a temper though when he doesnt get what he wants. I guess he gets that honest though :)

Right now were trying to get ready for the upcoming holidays. Were going down to Hutchinson (KS) to be with Seth's parents for Thanksgiving. Christmas we are staying home, but hoping we will get visitors. We are staying in Hutch until Saturday and coming back to get the tree set up. I still have yet to do much shopping so hopefully in the next few weeks (cause thats all I have) I will get everything done. Not sure what to get Greyson because he is still young yet. We did get him a new chair and ottoman set. Ill post pictures of that later im sure.

For now.. Today we decided to go to the zoo! It was basically half price admission and it was a little chilly this morning but warmed up. Greyson was a bit more interested this time around. Last trip he could care less. So here are some pictures from today!

Popcorn and puzzles whats better???????

A few from last night... Popcorn with daddy.. Who says you cant give toddlers popcorn? I read that somewhere in a some book.. :) He likes his popcorn from the bag. Doesnt care much for it unless you let him get it out for himself. I love the first one of his face and mouth full of popcorn.. its totally cute :)

Long time post due.. Greyson is cute as always. He has started talking up a storm and loves to talk on the pretend cellphone. Either the fake nemo one we bought him or ours which we have to lock otherwise he calls China. Even still its cute. He has started so many words and at times im amazed at what comes out of his mouth. His latest favorite is yep you guessed it NO ! He says it plan as day. Its cute but wont be in another few months.

He likes to "do" his puzzle as you can see from the pic below. I love the look on his face as if he is concentrating really hard. Look at the one 2nd down. His tongue is sticking out..lol

Greyson and daddy :)

We have been going like the energizer bunny the last few weeks. We made a trip down to Hutchinson so Greyson got to see his dads' side of the family. He did great and was okay with everything including the 3.5 hour drive down. We went to his cousins soccer games on Saturday morning. I didnt take the camera down with us! So we have no photos..

Saturday we went to the Renaissance festival of Kansas City. Greyson seemed to have a good time but got wore out from skipping a nap the day before and of course we were out the next day but as you will see below he conked out in the stroller for about 45minutes.

Greyson rode an elephant!! There is a first time for everything I guess and Seth thought it would be fun to have Greyson ride an elephant.. Mind you it cost 8 freaking dollars for an elephant to take him and G around 4 trees but hey its an elephant ride :) Im not sure how he did when they first started walking because I couldn't see his face but on the last leg of the short short walk he was scared...lol it was kinda cute and funny.

He also got to go inside a little place to pet and feed goats and such he wasnt really that interested in the animals more of walking around! We got a cone of food to feed them and he still didnt care to much. But it was a place for him to run around after being in a stroller for most of the day.
Then today we went to a birthday party for a friend of ours.. here are some pictures from that also. I tried feeding Greyson some birthday cake with no luck, he reached for animal crackers and I thought okay thats kinda weird. Well I just had the cake sittting there on the plate and Seth wanted it and cut off a piece (he was sitting closer to G) and Greyson reached out and grabbed it, then precided to eat the whole piece of cake but apparently he wanted to feed it to himself. He got to go outside and play in a ball pit and looked like surfer boy at one point!

As you can see we have been very very very very busy and running almost non-stop the last few weeks so this week im hoping to stay in as much as I can without losing it.. after a few days we have to get out because by then both of us need some fresh air

The Monkey Thing

Remember that monkey thing I talked about in our last post? Well here are some more pics.. If you say to him Greyson where is George? He will walk over and pick up this George no matter where he is. And if you say to him Greyson where is Monkey? He will get the sock monkey :) Its the cutest thing!!!! Still cant figure out what his lovey is though.. guess in time we will know

I meant to update last weekend and forgot. So im behind a post as I wanted to update this blog weekly. So from here on out ill make sure to update it weekly :)

Lovey's:
We have wondered what would turn out to be Greyson's Lovey.. we have tried giving him a few different things hoping it would be his lovey as we bought 2 or sometimes 3.. to no avail. He never seemed to catch onto anything. For months and I do mean months now I have put this Curious George in pajamas in his crib, with a blankie from Old Navy and now if you ask him if he wants to go shushie (shush e what we call going to bed) he will go and get his old navy blankie from his crib if he can reach it..

But while we were in KY on our vacation Seth found a sock monkey and we have a monkey thing in this house so we got it and started giving it to him in his crib also. Well he cuddles the sock monkey now.. here is a picture..so im wondering still which is his lovey or if its all of them?

And last but not least.. a new skill
Taking his diaper and putting it in the trash.. I have been very very very lazy using my cloth so we have been using disposables lately and for some reason Yesterday morning Seth got up with him, changed his diaper like we always do first thing and Greyson grabbed the diaper and took it right to the trash can! He has never done this before nor have we ever told him to do this.. Did it all day yesterday and then did it this morning with me when I got him up and changed him. I thought yesterday was a fluke but nope did it this morning also. So Greyson knows to take this diaper and put it in the trash :)

He has learned to do Eskimo kisses!!!! Its the cutest thing.. I give them to him and he started giving them to the dog :) Its so so freaking cute. Has yet to do them to either me or Seth but its cute he gives them to the dog.

He still has not learned to use his ride on toy. He can go backwards but not forwards. but he thinks he is hot stuff when he goes backwards. It's funny to watch him do new stuff as he gets this look of hey look at me im a big boy on his face each time. He is proud of him self.

What can I say my child is cute and photogenic. So I am compelled a lot to snap random pictures of him doing whatever. lately this has been easier said than done as I think me taking his picture daily for the last 13 months (haven't been so good this last month) has made him run in the other direction when he sees the camera. Literally. So its been hard to take photos of him without taking 15 of his back to get one good front picture. But here are a few that I took just about 15 minutes ago..

One of his newly found obessions is taking the top of the maalox bottle. Yes its empty :) He loves to un-screw the top.. then the last 2 days he has had an obsession with moving things from one place to another and doing it at least 200 times before he gets done with it. This can be anything. At one point yesterday it was cars.. he would line them up, pack them one at a time to mine or Seth's hand, then take them back one and at time to the table. Then it turned into this barn with farm animals but again he placed them from the barn to my hand, then back to the barn. Not sure what he is learning but im sure its something..

Oh and he is starting to walk down the step instead of going down it belly first. He uses the dog food container to help him walk down. Otherwise he uses our hand, but lately has started reaching out and grabbing hold of the door.

What Greysons room or even or house looks like here are a few pictures.. Nothing fancy because well there is just no space. Everything has to be practical or it cant be in here. Well if only I stuck to that rule :)

The first is the outside of our RV. The rest are of the small area in the RV we have deemed Greyson's bedroom. As you can see there it not much to it.. just a crib and some storage.. The three baskets on the bottom are toy storage, the drawers hold his clothes, and the cube is for books and small toys. There are A LOT more toys in various places around the house... ill post another blog post on that later on. Because they are beginning to take over the whole place.

So in case you guys were curious there are some samples of the place we call home. 1`

For some reason I didnt take any pictures myself of Greyson while we were on vacation. So I am waiting to get my copies of all the ones my family took. I did record a video and ill try to upload it in the next few days if I can figure how :)

Here are a few pictures of Greyson that I have taken in the last few days. If you look really close in the first one you can see his bottom molar teeth. Im not sure if his teeth have been making him cranky or what but the last 2 days he has not been a nice camper while on outings. The second picture is him not very happy because I was on the cell phone with my friend Nicole and he wanted the phone to play with. He LOVES playing with our cell phones.

Our trip to KY went smoother than I thought it would. Greyson did better with everyone than I expected because other than the few times he has gotten to see his Nona and Pa and the people we have seen at playgroup he is not around people. I expected him to be shy and not want to be around anyone. He was like this for about 10mintues at everyone's house then he just went about doing whatever.

I was happy to see him getting along with everyone and I think with the exception of Shane (my brother in law) everyone got to hold him at least a few minutes. I cant remember if Shane did or not... hmm if they read this I guess they will tell me :) He enjoyed being around everyone.

Today we celebrated Zach's birthday. We got him his mini cake, lite his candles and Greyson, Seth and I blew them out. Then me and Greyson ate birthday cake for Zach. Greyson of course kept coming back for more and i had to stop feeding it to him as he was getting ready to go to bed.

Not much else is going on at our house or with Greyson. He is still amazing us everyday with all the things he can do. Oh I almost forgot yesterday he did drink out of a straw for the very first time. Of course it was something worth working at.... his dads chocolate milkshake :)

We are on vacation!

I had been meaning to write on G's blog that we would be on vacation until the 30th of August. Right now we are in Kentucky visiting my family. I hope to be able to post some new pictures of Greyson when we return home. For now ill just tell you some things that have been going on with G.

He is getting all four of his one year molars (teeth). The bottom two and for sure left top right are pretty well out. Its like Fort Knox getting him to open his mouth to give me a look at the other top one right now so im guessing it has at least made it all the way through the skin by now. Some how he has pretty much been okay with it,with only a few crying spells. Nothing that Tylenol hasnt been able to help thankfully.

He actually has been doing quite a few new things! He is changing and learning so much from day to day its quite interesting to watch.

He loves it when his daddy reads him books. And his latest favorite is Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton. While Seth reads this book to him he slaps his leg and now as he is getting this book read to him he slaps his little leg. Hopefully someday soon we can get him to do it on video and ill upload it. Tonight he sat on the floor by himself and was babbling holding this book and was slapping his leg :) It was like he was reading it to himself.

He has also started giving kisses! Its so darn cute. He will just walk up and kiss you somewhere. Sometimes its your arm, leg, or even the top of your foot and he loves to kiss Sebastian (dog). He calls him dog dog and has been saying it a few times while we have been out of town. I think he misses the dog.

and last but not least he has started to sing or mimic you singing basically. Its so cute when he does this.. you can sing a song and he will go gaa gaa gaaa in the same rhythm that you are singing in. Seth got to see/hear him do this a few days ago and now anytime one of us sings he will sing also.

Greysons first haircut!!!!

Well the time had finally come that we could no longer pretend we were hippies. Our child had started to look like a long hair hippy boy :) So for two weeks now I have been saying we need to take G to get his hair cut. Of course I wanted to take him to some special shop with cool little cars and such for him to sit upon thinking it would make the task a little easier.

Seth on the other hand thought the local Wal-mart would suffice. So im sure you can guess who won out.

Nope not me. We went to the local Wal-mart. The girl didnt do a bad job im happy to say. She did cut a little more off than I would have liked but I guess in the end it really is just hair and it will grow back. I was hoping for less of a "big" boy haircut to hold onto some of the babyness if that is a word.

G did rather well. There was no crying on his part and thank god for cheerios and puffs! As they kept him busy worrying about sticking them in his mouth instead of what was happening on his head :) So it went off without a hitch.

He does however look like a big boy to me now which makes me kinda sad. The haircut is cute none the less.

I decided to start this blog so that everyone can just come here instead of having to go and log in just to see pictures of Greyson. I thought this way you can read as well as see what is going on with all of us.
